(about the artist)

Seth Ward Pyatt is a multi-talented theatre director based in New York City.

Seth believes that with every new production comes an entirely different perspective. His mission is to create a brand of theatre that is a fusion of all the various forms of classical and contemporary art.

Originally from a small town near St. Louis, Missouri, Seth began creating when he was -2. There hasn't been a moment in his life when he wasn't making people smile, laugh, or delve into their deepest darkest thoughts. As a youngster, Seth would assemble other kids on his block into performing sketches for their parents at the neighborhood park. His obsession with the theatre developed into something serious when he started selling program advertisements after school to raise money for the new shows he was producing, directing, and performing.

During university Seth took on jobs as musical director and lighting designer. Eventually he landed bigger gigs- producing, directing and acting, working for nearly every major theatrical company in town. From large, popular plays and intimately scaled-down musicals to one-man shows and revue-style cabarets, Seth has lent his witty, nostalgic charm and fresh, imaginative touch to hundreds of critic and crowd-pleasing productions.

Seth's first major directing project was the Dallas-area premiere of Roger Bean's The Andrews Brothers for Texas Family Musicals at Granbury Opera House. Since then, he has gone on to create hit productions of the Stephen Sondheim revue Marry Me a Little, the St. Louis Midwestern premiere of Songs From An Unmade Bed, and Dancing at Lughnasa by Brian Friel. Seth has also helmed the musical elements of over thirty professional shows including West Side Story, The Producers, and Cabaret. He is currently Managing Director for Open Bar Theatricals and Director of Marketing & Development for Musicals Tonight! in NYC.

Combining his passions for the theatre, music, modern art, architecture, and food, Seth plans to stir these ingredients into one all-inclusive experience. He leads his company, Sethward Theatricals, to focus on ensemble-driven work, radically redefined classic musicals and plays, and commissioned new pieces. All shows are a complete collaboration from the ground up, featuring talents of famous artists as well as up-and-coming designers from the worlds of theatre, music, dance, fashion, architecture, visual art, interior design, cinematography, and international cuisine.

"I'm a quaint old soul. I hold the glorious "Golden Age" days of the past

near and dear to my heart, yet somehow I am able to live very much in the present

and still keep an eye out for the future."
